ADIDAS originals: RESPECT THE WEST

Cashmere Agency created Respect The West (RTW) in 2010 – a lifestyle movement that speaks authentically to the true nature of the West Coast lifestyle and resurging West Coast music scene. The brand was built organically through artist outreach, event activations, online content, social media engagement, and creative partnerships.

RTW established itself through its highly-anticipated annual SXSW showcase, featuring top and emerging artists including E-40, DJ Quik, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Nipsey Hussle, Schoolboy Q, YG, DJ Mustard and Ty Dolla $ign. It has since greatly expanded to include large-scale events in other markets, brand partnerships with adidas, Pabst and Airbnb as well as custom content and collaboration programs with major media companies and lifestyle brands. For the BET Hip Hop Awards, we were asked to curate a west coast cypher, which was the most viewed segment of the show.
